digiCollage: photo manipulations

Video-tutorials for Adobe Photoshop and Photoshop Elements users

Pro Version

More demo actions to play
This instruction composed for Photoshop 6
(switch to Photoshop 5 version)

Here is a bit more complicated example. Now we have to open eyes, fix collar and change background. To play the action we need 2 more pictures (with "open eyes" and "new background")

1. Download Demo Set (73 Kb):
Demo2.zip

2. Unpack downloaded "DemoSet" There will be "DemoSet 2" folder extracted, containing 4 files:
- Demo Set 2.atn
- sample2.jpg
- eyes.jpg
- background.jpg

3. Run Photoshop

4. Open "sample2.jpg" file
(File > Open...)

5. Open Actions palette (Window > Show Actions);

6. Load "Demo Set 2" (click on small arrow button on the right-top of Actions palette > select Load Actions... > find "Demo Set 2.atn" on your computer)

7. Loaded actions will appear in the Actions palette. Select "Play Me" and hit "playback" button on Actions palette

NB. During playback the warning may appear: "Some aspects of the Effects cannot be reproduced with layers!".
Never mind; just click OK.

8. Once collar being fixed, message will appear (see screenshot). Hit "Stop", open "eyes.jpg", then click "playback" again (see screenshot »)

9. Next you will be asked to open "background.jpg" Open the file, then continue with playback
(see screenshot below)

10. In a few seconds image is edited. All changes in separate layers. All key history states are saved as snapshots in History palette.

Please strictly follow this instruction. Any mistimed or unnecessary step may result in failure. If such happened, close all open images; then repeat 4 to 9 steps as described above.
